Hula Dolls have been popular souvenirs of Hawaii for many years. Tourists visiting Hawaii made these popular in the 1930's as vacationers wanted momentos of Hawaii to remember their holiday well after it had ended. The dashboard wiggly Hula Dolls are so widespread that you often see them on the dashboard of taxi cabs on the mainland United States.
